There are two images that most Dr Who fans (or indeed anyone) would readily associate with The Doctor… the TARDIS and the Daleks. But what about a TARDIS-Dalek?
That’s right, you heard me… a TARDIS which looks like a Dalek. A time travelling space box, with Dalek powers. That’s exactly what Dr Who and Torchwood writer James Moran has cooked up for the auction.
It’s eerie, it’s clearly to of the most iconic images melded into one, with the Dalek shape taking over but the windows and door sign still visible. Titled “Oh no! It’s a TARDIS-Dalek! Run!”, it is created in black marker on white 8×5 card. James has very kindly also signed the art beneath.
As you’ll know, James was the man behind The Fires of Pompeii, the first Dr Who episode to be shot abroad since the Paul McGann era, and it introduced the key idea of there being fixed points in time which would prove critical through to The Wedding of River Song. This episode, of course, was also Donna’s first journey in time. James is also responsible for Torchwood episodes Sleeper and Children of Earth Day 3.
